Kazakhstan is set to significantly accelerate its digital transformation with the recent approval of a new national strategy. The decree, titled 'On the Approval of the 'Digital Qazaqstan' National Strategy for Large-Scale Digitalization and Mass Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Technologies until 2029,' signifies a major step forward in the country's technological development. While the full text of the strategy is expected to be published soon, its core objective is clear: to embed advanced digital and AI solutions into the fabric of Kazakhstan's society and economy.

Focus on AI and Digital Advancement

This strategic move follows President Tokayev's consistent emphasis on the importance of these fields. Earlier this year, in April, he highlighted digitalization and AI as crucial drivers for Kazakhstan's comprehensive modernization. Speaking at an awards ceremony for AI competitions, he underscored the need for the nation to keep pace with global technological advancements.

The President declared the current year as the 'Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence' in Kazakhstan, stressing the significant work ahead. He called for concerted efforts from the entire society to achieve the ambitious goals set forth in the new strategy.
