Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has released an official statement concerning the death of a Kazakhstani citizen in Istanbul. The incident occurred on March 31st in the Fatih district of the city.

The Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Istanbul is providing necessary assistance to the deceased's relatives and is closely monitoring the situation. Relevant Turkish authorities are conducting the required investigative measures.

Investigation Underway into Fatal Shooting

The crime reportedly took place around 4:30 PM on Sunday. An unidentified assailant opened fire on Arif Ismailov, a courier working for a private logistics company and a citizen of Kazakhstan. Ismailov succumbed to his severe injuries at the hospital.

Police have apprehended suspects in connection with the incident, who have been identified as citizens of Georgia. The motives behind the crime remain unclear at this time.
