Kazakhstan Students Get 11 Days Off for Spring Break 2026
Kazakhstan's schoolchildren will enjoy an 11-day break during the upcoming spring holiday in 2026. The Ministry of Education has confirmed the specific dates, providing families with ample time for rest and activities.
Spring Break Dates Announced
The 2026 spring break for students across Kazakhstan is scheduled to begin on March 19th and conclude on March 29th. This provides a total of 11 calendar days for students to relax and recharge. The first day back to school will be March 30th.
Activities and Holiday Observances
During this break, various events are planned to ensure students have a productive and engaging time. A comprehensive set of activities will be implemented as part of the "Adal Azamat" (Honest Citizen) educational program, aimed at fostering the all-around development of students. The holiday period conveniently coincides with the Nauryz holiday celebrations.
Additionally, students will have the opportunity to participate in the traditional international "Earth Hour" campaign, promoting environmental awareness.
Safety Focus During Break
The Ministry of Education is placing a strong emphasis on ensuring the safety of children during the break. Collaborative efforts with parents will include extensive awareness campaigns on road safety, fire prevention, and safe practices in the digital space.
It's worth noting that the school year in Kazakhstan is divided into four quarters. The third quarter of the current academic year spanned 10 weeks. The fifth quarter is expected to last approximately 8 weeks, concluding on May 25, 2026, after which the summer holidays will commence.
