A significant leadership change has been announced within QazaqGaz, Kazakhstan's national gas company. Nurlybek Yegizbayev has been appointed as the new General Director of "QAZAQGAZ Processing" LLP, a crucial entity responsible for major gas processing plant construction projects.

Who is the New Director?

Originally from the Atyrau region, Yegizbayev brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He holds three higher education degrees in construction, economics, and chemical technology of organic substances. His career has been marked by the successful implementation of complex infrastructure projects within Kazakhstan's oil and gas industry.

Extensive Industry Experience

Yegizbayev began his career in the industry in the late 1990s. He has previously led the construction of major industrial facilities for Tengizchevroil (TCO) and the NCOC consortium. His experience also includes a role as a consultant for the NCOC consortium and a position as Deputy Director of the Construction Department at the Atyrau Regional Akimat (governor's office).

From 2010 to 2012, he served as the Managing Director for Construction at "Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries" LLP. For the subsequent eight years, Yegizbayev acted as the lead expert for first-tier technical and author's supervision on some of Western Kazakhstan's largest projects.

Prior to this latest appointment, from 2020 to 2026, Yegizbayev headed the technical team for the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) at the Dunga field for "PSA" LLP.

The Role of "QAZAQGAZ Processing" LLP

"QAZAQGAZ Processing" LLP is a vital component of the QazaqGaz national company. The enterprise operates as the project operator for the construction of the gas processing plant (GPP) at Karachaganak and is also responsible for the development of other GPPs across the country. The company assumes full responsibility for gas processing, the development of domestic gas chemistry, and the execution of Kazakhstan's strategic industrial projects.

This appointment underscores the national company's commitment to advancing its critical infrastructure projects and developing its gas processing capabilities.
