Singer Dilnaz Akhmadieva: Kazakh Language is a Duty for All Citizens

Renowned Kazakh singer Dilnaz Akhmadieva has shared her strong views on the significance of the state language in Kazakhstan, asserting that every citizen has a duty to know it.

Speaking on the "Zamandas" podcast, Akhmadieva highlighted that proficiency in Kazakh is particularly crucial for individuals working in the service industry.

Service Industry Imperative

"Customer service should be in Kazakh. It's best if it's exclusively in Kazakh. This is a normal situation," Akhmadieva stated. She recounted an incident where a young woman was reportedly dismissed from her restaurant job for refusing to communicate in Kazakh, with the singer adding, "Then she can go to the forest, so to speak."

The popular artist stressed that all residents of Kazakhstan, especially those in customer-facing roles within the service, banking, or other sectors, are obligated to learn the Kazakh language.

Dilnaz Akhmadieva is a celebrated Kazakhstani singer, actress, and television presenter, recognized as an Honored Figure of Kazakhstan. Born in Almaty into a creative family, her mother was a ballerina and her father an actor and singer.
