A wave of misinformation circulating on social media and some news outlets claimed that all Kazakhstanis who applied for social assistance would automatically receive it. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan has officially refuted these claims.

According to the ministry's press service، social assistance is a specific form of state support. It is provided only to citizens who are facing difficult life circumstances and meet established criteria for need.

Understanding Social Assistance Eligibility

The ministry emphasized that submitting an application through the eGov portal is merely a method of requesting social aid and does not guarantee its automatic approval. Each application is subject to review.

The categories of recipients، the conditions for receiving aid، and the required documentation are determined individually by local akimats (municipal administrations) in each region. These details are then published on their official websites. All submitted applications are processed by the akimats according to established procedures.

Official Sources and Legal Responsibility

The Ministry also reminded the public that spreading false information carries legal responsibility. Citizens are urged to rely solely on official sources for information regarding social assistance programs.
