Mystery Surrounds Ownership of Seized Lexus LX 600 in Kazakhstan
A luxury Lexus LX 600، initially seized as part of the Perizat Kairat case and later reported missing، has been located. However، the identity of the individual or entity currently operating the vehicle remains undisclosed، with authorities citing state secrecy.
The Vehicle's Background
The black Lexus LX 600، a 2025 model، was first offered for sale in the autumn of 2025 with an initial valuation of 79،121،985 tenge. Records indicate the vehicle was registered to the brother of Gaini Alashbaeva، the mother of Perizat Kairat.
Uncertainty Over Custody
Initially، the Department of State Property and Privatization in Astana announced that the vehicle had been transferred to the Agency for Financial Monitoring. However، the agency later refuted this information، stating they were not the custodian of the car.
Classified Information
Inquiries made to the Committee for State Property and Privatization revealed that while the vehicle was officially assigned to the Agency for Financial Monitoring's balance in the winter of 2025، it was subsequently transferred to special state bodies. These include the National Security bodies، the authorized body for Foreign Intelligence، and the State Security Service.
Despite this، the committee declined to disclose which specific authority currently manages the vehicle، citing Article 14 of the Law on State Secrets، which prohibits the dissemination of such information.
The Perizat Kairat Case
For context، Perizat Kairat was sentenced to 10 years in prison and stripped of her "Shapagat" medal. Her mother، Gaini Alashbaeva، received a 7-year prison sentence for aiding her daughter. The court also ordered them to compensate 50 victims a total of 1 billion 582 million tenge in material damages.
