UAE President Declares Nation in a State of War Amidst Iranian Attacks

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is currently in a state of war following attacks by Iran، but President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has declared the nation will emerge from this conflict stronger than before.

In his first public address since the escalation of regional tensions، the UAE President expressed gratitude to the armed forces for their role during this period، commending their service to the nation. He also acknowledged the significant contribution of expatriates residing in the UAE.

A Nation Under Threat

"We are in a state of war، and I promise them that we will fulfill our duty. This situation has been imposed upon us، and we will act to protect ourselves، our families، and our country،" stated Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The President visited five individuals injured in the Iranian attacks، including two Emirati citizens، and one each from India، Sudan، and Iran. He emphasized that the well-being of the injured is the nation's responsibility.

Resilience and Resolve

"The UAE is an attractive، beautiful، and exemplary country، but do not be deceived. The UAE has thick skin and a bitter taste – they cannot swallow us. We are not an easy target،" the President asserted، highlighting the nation's resilience.

The conflict escalated on February 28th when the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran. Tehran responded by targeting American interests in allied nations across the Middle East.

Impact on the UAE

The UAE was among the nations targeted. While the attacks primarily aimed at military infrastructure، civilian areas also suffered damage. Reports indicated strikes near the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai، and Iranian drones were observed near the Burj Khalifa skyscraper، with some falling in the Palm Jumeirah area.

On the morning of March 7th، the Iranian Navy conducted a large-scale drone attack targeting American facilities in the UAE and Kuwait. This included the Al Minhad base in Abu Dhabi and the Al Adiri camp in Kuwait. Dubai's airport also sustained an attack.
