116-Year-Old Woman Shares Secrets to Longevity: Hard Work and Good Intentions
Tuynegul Temirbaeva, a resident of the Ulytau region, has reached the remarkable age of 116, remaining active and sharp. She attributes her extraordinary longevity to a life of honest work and good intentions.
A Life Dedicated to Labor
Born in the Ulytau region, Temirbaeva has spent her entire life tending to horses. She states that the demanding work of caring for livestock never deterred her. Her husband, Ayazbay Temirbaev, also lived a long life, reaching 95. At 116, Temirbaeva can still thread a needle without glasses and sew, demonstrating remarkable dexterity.
Never Complained of Illness
Her children report never hearing their mother complain of illness, even at her advanced age. Having grown up with a strong work ethic from a young age, she remains active, participating in household chores despite her grandchildren's concerns. Her daughter-in-law, Raushan Temirbaeva, notes, "She mostly stays at home now. This year has been like that. Before that, she was capable of all the chores, both outside and inside. She is old, after all. She sits and watches television. She even cooks for us."
Officially Recognized as the Oldest Resident
Temirbaeva officially turned 116 in January. Her status as the oldest resident in the country has been confirmed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. She currently resides with her youngest son in the village of Kyzylzhar. She is a mother to 4 children, with 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
