A shocking incident has occurred in the Talgar district of the Almaty region, where a 20-year-old man lost his life after being attacked by a group of individuals. The incident, which took place on April 12, has prompted a swift response from law enforcement.

According to social media reports, the young man was ambushed by more than 10 assailants, leaving him with no chance to defend himself. He sustained fatal stab wounds at the scene.

Investigation Underway

The Almaty Region Police Department has confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the matter. Two criminal cases have been initiated: one for murder and another for hooliganism.

Authorities have made several arrests in connection with the incident. A 20-year-old suspect has been detained and taken into custody for the murder charge. Additionally, three other suspects have been apprehended and placed in a temporary detention center for the hooliganism offense.

Legal Measures Taken

The court has ordered house arrest for two of the hooliganism suspects. A pre-trial detention measure that does not involve isolation from society has been applied to a minor suspect.

Police have identified and interviewed witnesses to the crime. Comprehensive investigative actions are currently in progress to thoroughly examine all aspects of the case. The arguments of all parties involved are being meticulously reviewed.

The progress of the investigation is under the special supervision of the regional police department's leadership.
