Official Confirmation of a Second Family

Nursultan Nazarbayev publicly acknowledged having a second family only in 2023. In his memoir, "My Life," he detailed his first meeting with Asel Isabaeva after a beauty pageant, noting that their connection grew over time. According to Nazarbayev, they married according to Muslim tradition and have two sons named Tauman and Baiken. While these details had circulated unofficially before, they were officially confirmed for the first time through his memoir.
