Kazakh Singer Claims Flight Attendants Denied Water During Ramadan
Renowned Kazakh singer and actress Aigul Imanbaeva has shared a distressing account of her experience on a flight from Almaty to Astana, alleging poor service from flight attendants.
Imanbaeva was traveling with her two grandchildren and daughter-in-law on flight 953. The flight experienced a significant delay of approximately two hours due to weather conditions.
Denied Basic Needs During Fasting
During the flight, Imanbaeva, who was observing Ramadan, abstained from food but requested a bottle of water. She was informed that no bottled water was available. As the time for breaking her fast approached, she asked for a single glass of water.
Alleged Neglect by Crew
According to Imanbaeva, despite pressing the call button and waiting for 20 minutes with her crying grandchild, no flight attendant responded. She recounted that when she finally managed to ask a passing attendant for water, she was told, "You can come and drink it yourself when the plane lands."
Impact on Airline Reputation
Imanbaeva expressed her anger and disappointment, stating that such treatment damages the reputation of the airline. She emphasized the difficulty of the situation, being unable to get a glass of water just minutes before breaking her fast while comforting a distressed child.
After the flight landed, Imanbaeva broke her fast at the home of her relatives.
