Roza Rymbaeva: Why Children Are My Anchor and Marriage Isn't a Priority

Kazakhstan's People's Artist, Roza Rymbaeva, has opened up about the challenging period following the loss of her life partner and the reasons behind her decision not to remarry.

Children as Her Guiding Force

The acclaimed singer, left to raise her two sons alone after her husband's death, continued her artistic journey with unwavering dedication, embarking on numerous concert tours. While this period was incredibly difficult, Rymbaeva found the strength to persevere.

"I have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandchild. But I am alone. What keeps me going? My children. For them, I have been a father, a mother, a supporter, a manager, even a president. They are everything to me," Rymbaeva shared.

According to the artist, her children were her primary motivation, inspiring her to move forward and never give up, even during her darkest moments. She poured all her energy into ensuring their future.

Seeking an Equal Partner

Rymbaeva admitted that while she encountered individuals she liked, none met the level she sought in a partner. She desired someone who thought similarly, a creative peer who could be a true companion not just in life, but also in her artistic endeavors.

She envisioned a partner who would inspire and propel her forward, rather than someone who would hold her back. "I believe a man should be above a woman. Then women look up to him, strive in his path, and support him," the singer explained.

However, Rymbaeva acknowledged that relationships can take many forms, and many modern families feature women in leading roles. Yet, she was accustomed to a different dynamic.

A Conscious Choice Against Remarriage

"My husband was like that. But after his death, I never met anyone like him. I didn't actively search either. My children are always by my side. My thoughts are always about them," Rymbaeva stated.

The singer recalled asking her youngest son how he would feel about her remarrying. He expressed that he didn't want his mother to marry someone else. Rymbaeva emphasized that she never considered remarrying and couldn't imagine her sons accepting another man into their lives.

Previously, Roza Rymbaeva celebrated her 50th anniversary in the arts with a jubilee concert. Among the performers was Dimash Kudaibergen, who paid tribute to the legendary figure of Kazakh pop music, congratulating her on her five decades of artistic achievement.
