Previously, Iran had labeled a U.S. attack on a cargo ship sailing under its flag in the Gulf of Oman as a violation of the truce. Iranian authorities also reported drone strikes against U.S. naval vessels.

This follows an earlier report from Trump's Truth Social account detailing an incident where the U.S. Navy intercepted an Iranian-flagged cargo ship attempting to circumvent Washington's maritime blockade. According to Trump, the Iranian crew refused to surrender, leading to the U.S. Navy destroyer disabling the ship by creating a hole in its engine room. The vessel is currently under the control of U.S. Marines.
