UAE Defense Ministry: Fully Prepared for Any Threat to National Security

The United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Defense has declared its complete readiness to confront any threats to national security, particularly in light of recent missile and drone attacks originating from Iran.

Air Defense Interceptions

In a statement released on its official social media channel, the ministry detailed that on May 4th, the UAE's air defense forces successfully intercepted 12 ballistic missiles, 3 cruise missiles, and 4 unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran. These interceptions prevented potential harm, though three individuals sustained injuries as a result of the incident.

Cumulative Defense Successes

Since the commencement of Iranian attacks targeting the UAE, the nation's air defense forces have achieved a remarkable record. They have successfully neutralized a total of 549 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,260 unmanned aerial vehicles. This significant defensive capability underscores the UAE's commitment to safeguarding its airspace.

Human Impact and Casualties

The attacks have unfortunately resulted in casualties among various nationalities. A total of 227 individuals have been affected. Among military personnel, three were killed, including one civilian contractor. The civilian death toll has reached 10.

Commitment to Security and Sovereignty

The Ministry of Defense reiterated its stance, stating that the armed forces are in "full combat readiness" to respond to any threat. They affirmed a firm stance against any actions aimed at undermining the nation's security, vowing to protect the UAE's sovereignty, stability, interests, and national capabilities.
