War Heroine Manshuk Mametova: A Writer's Recollections of Four Encounters

Renowned veteran writer Azilkhan Nurshaikov has shared poignant memories from the front lines of World War II, highlighting his encounters with the heroic Kazakh soldier Manshuk Mametova.

Nurshaikov recounted meeting Mametova on four separate occasions during the war, emphasizing her bravery and spirit amidst the brutal conflict.

Honoring Wartime Heroes

His recollections are part of a special video series titled "Brave Names" (Erjúrek esimder), produced by the "Qazaqstan" TV and Radio Corporation. This initiative commemorates the 81st anniversary of Victory Day.

The project aims to tell the stories of 80 Kazakh heroes who fought valiantly during the war. These episodes will be broadcast on the "Qazaqstan" channel and its 14 regional affiliates.

The series began airing on March 27 and will continue until May 9, Victory Day, ensuring these courageous stories reach a wide audience.
