Zelensky Hints at Shifting Stance in Potential Russia Peace Talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has suggested that Ukraine might be open to revisiting its stance in potential peace negotiations with Russia. This statement comes in the wake of a significant meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Diplomatic Discussions

According to the Ukrainian head of state, the discussions with Stoltenberg covered all key aspects of diplomatic efforts. Zelensky expressed satisfaction with the alignment of positions on numerous fronts during their conversation.

"I informed him about the preparations for the next trilateral format involving the United States and Russia, as well as potential shifts in the parties' positions," Zelensky stated, though he did not elaborate on the specifics.

Security and Support

The President also highlighted discussions concerning the energy sector and the ongoing need to continue work within the framework of the PURL initiative. This initiative, developed by the U.S. and its allies, aims to facilitate arms deliveries to Kyiv from American funds.

"I am grateful to every European country that has invested in our defense through PURL," the Ukrainian leader added, underscoring the international support for Ukraine's security.

Background on Negotiations

It is worth noting that a third round of negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States took place in Geneva on February 18. At that meeting, an agreement was reached that the monitoring of the ceasefire regime would be carried out with the participation of the U.S.
