30 Families in Satpayev Receive New Homes on International Family Day
On International Family Day, 30 families in Satpayev, Kazakhstan, who were on the waiting list for housing, received the keys to their new apartments. A new five-story building, totaling 2000 square meters, was officially commissioned to provide much-needed homes.
The handover ceremony was attended by representatives of local executive bodies, city residents, community activists, and the families who had long awaited this moment. For many, this day represented the fulfillment of a dream held for years.
Regional Development and Housing Initiatives
Dastan Ryspekov, the Akim (Governor) of the Ulytau region, addressed the attendees, emphasizing that providing quality and affordable housing remains a key priority in the region's social policy. He highlighted that work in this direction is ongoing and will continue systematically.
Ryspekov noted the significant progress in housing construction within the region. Since the region's establishment, approximately 365,000 square meters of housing have been commissioned. For the current year alone, the plan is to complete around 100,000 square meters more, which will enable over 800 families to acquire new homes and improve their living conditions.
He further stated that the region has become a leader in construction growth in Kazakhstan for the first quarter of this year, thanks to these comprehensive efforts. The development is supported by both local budget funds and active engagement with private partners and investments, accelerating construction and modernizing the housing stock.
New Homeowners Share Their Joy
Among the new homeowners is Zhauhar Akhmetova, a resident of Satpayev. Her family had been waiting for a home for 16 years. "We waited a very long time for this day," she shared. "After the Ulytau region was established, we noticed the queue moving faster, and our hopes grew. Today, our dream has finally come true. This is a great joy for our entire family. We sincerely thank the regional and city leadership for their support."
Broader Infrastructure Development
The regional administration also reported that housing infrastructure development is progressing on multiple fronts. Alongside new apartment buildings, projects are underway to upgrade engineering networks, modernize communal infrastructure, and replace dilapidated housing.
Earlier in April, a delegation from the Ulytau region visited the People's Republic of China, securing agreements worth a total of 12.5 billion tenge. These agreements are aimed at renovating the housing stock and constructing new residential buildings in the cities of Zhezkazgan, Satpayev, and Karazhal.
The administration is confident that the increasing volume of housing construction annually will enhance the quality of life for residents, strengthen social stability, and create favorable conditions for the region's further development.
