Missing Atyrau Family: New Details Emerge on Akbayan Mukhangaliyeva's Case
New information has surfaced regarding Akbayan Mukhangaliyeva and Sultan Sarsemaliyev, who were apprehended in Indonesia on suspicion of murdering Mukhangaliyeva's parents in the Atyrau region. Images circulating online depict the couple in handcuffs.
The photographs show Sultan Sarsemaliyev with handcuffs on both wrists, while Akbayan Mukhangaliyeva, seated beside him, appears not to be wearing any restraints. Individuals standing behind them are believed to be Indonesian police officers.
Detention and Extradition
The couple was previously detained in the village of Senaru on Lombok Island. Currently, discussions are underway regarding their extradition to Kazakhstan. A special operation was conducted on February 24th, during which Sarsemaliyev reportedly attempted to flee upon the arrival of law enforcement at their hotel but was apprehended.

Criminal Investigation Details
It is recalled that Sarsemaliyev and Mukhangaliyeva became suspects in November of last year for the alleged murder of Mukhangaliyeva's parents in the village of Zhaingeldin, Atyrau region. The bodies of the deceased couple were discovered buried beneath an outbuilding on their property. Investigators theorize that the suspects attempted to conceal evidence of the crime and absconded with property and money.
