Kazakhstan's Olympic boxing champion, Bakhtiyar Sarsekbayev, has extended warm congratulations to the young figure skater Mikhail Shaidorov following his gold medal victory at the Winter Olympics in Italy.

Sarsekbayev, an Olympic gold medalist himself from the Beijing Games, shared a personal message of encouragement and advice for the rising star.

A Champion's Words of Encouragement

"You did it, Misha! You proved that becoming an Olympic champion is not easy, and that winning the gold medal is impossible without going through a difficult and arduous journey," Sarsekbayev wrote. "I, and other elders who have conquered Olympic peaks, have walked this path. There were many times I was pushed back and tripped, and moments where it felt like I would break. But I didn't break under those difficulties and reached my dream."

Reflections on Sports Struggles and Support

Reflecting on his own athletic career, Sarsekbayev acknowledged the challenges Shaidorov must have faced. "Some are writing about what you experienced just 5 years ago. We've all been through it... We didn't receive much help from the leadership back then either. But thank God, times have changed, and the attitude towards sports has improved. Kazakh sports are standing tall, and we are returning from every competition with good news," the Olympic champion added.

Advice for the Young Champion

Sarsekbayev emphasized that many people contributed to Shaidorov's Olympic triumph. "You are still young, and you have many more heights to conquer. Perhaps you'll gift us another Olympic gold in the next Games! Misha-bai, Make, today is your day, your second birthday. This day will not come again, and it won't last long. The nation that lifts you to the sky today will tear you down like wool if you stumble. My brother, seeing your open and honest face brought tears of joy to my heart; stay just as you are! Don't be led astray by anyone! Stay away from those who want to diminish the joy of your people, who stayed awake at night praying for you," Sarsekbayev concluded his message.
