Renowned Russian makeup artist and stylist Robert Minasyan has shared details about the significant honorarium he received for his work preparing for the birthday celebration of Aliya Nazarbayeva, the youngest daughter of Kazakhstan's first president, Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Stylist's Visit to Kazakhstan

Minasyan recounted that the event took place around 2002 when he was specially invited to Almaty to prepare for Aliya Nazarbayeva's birthday. The stylist flew in from Moscow and stayed in Kazakhstan for several days.

"I stayed there for about five days, everything was relaxed and comfortable. We went sightseeing and relaxed every day. For just one makeup session, I was paid approximately $10,000," he said.

The stylist also recalled meeting Aliya Nazarbayeva's friend, named Svetlana. According to Minasyan, this woman was involved in the diamond business and arrived at their meeting with a Hermès Birkin bag made of crocodile skin.

Minasyan mentioned that it was the first time he had seen such a bag, noting its approximate cost was around $50,000. He added that at the time, a Birkin bag was a rare accessory and considered a symbol of high status.
