Renowned Kazakhstani TV host and journalist Dana Nurzhigit has brought a deeply concerning case of domestic abuse and stalking to public attention, appealing for support for a victim whose life has been turned into a living hell.

Nurzhigit shared the distressing details on her social media, detailing the plight of a divorced woman with a child who has become the target of escalating violence and intimidation from a man she met.

A Life Turned into Torment

According to Nurzhigit, the perpetrator has systematically destroyed the woman's life within a mere two months. He allegedly took all her money and subjected her to constant threats, including surveillance and intimidation, making it clear he would pursue her if she tried to leave.

Physical Abuse and Confinement

The situation escalated dramatically during a recent encounter where the man reportedly held the woman captive in her own home for five to six hours, subjecting her to physical assault. The victim managed to escape her home only with great difficulty.

Nurzhigit revealed that the victim is prepared to file a police report but lacks the financial means to hire a lawyer. The abuser continues to harass her day and night, making calls from various numbers in what is described as a clear case of stalking.

A Call for Societal Action

Visibly affected by the case, the journalist urged the public not to remain indifferent to such situations. She confirmed meeting the woman, who reached out for help via private message, and expressed her deep distress over the ongoing ordeal.

Community activists emphasize the critical need for providing legal and psychological assistance to victims of domestic violence and stalking.
