Dariga Nazarbayeva's Wealth Declines in Forbes Kazakhstan's 2026 Rich List

Dariga Nazarbayeva, the eldest daughter of Kazakhstan's First President Nursultan Nazarbayev, has seen a notable shift in her financial standing, according to the latest Forbes Kazakhstan rankings for 2026. She has slipped to the 20th position among the country's wealthiest individuals.

Forbes Kazakhstan has estimated Nazarbayeva's net worth at $550 million. This represents a decrease from the previous year, when she was ranked 17th with an estimated fortune of $571 million in 2025. The publication has not provided specific reasons for this decline in her wealth.

Media Holdings and Investments

Dariga Nazarbayeva, along with her son Nurali Aliev, holds ownership in the radio broadcasting company "Europa Plus Kazakhstan." Through this entity, she also has stakes in the NTK television channel and the "Radiocity" radio company. Furthermore, Forbes reports that she has interests in "Naruzhnaya Reklama-Regiony" and "Telefabrika 'Dala'" via the DLS Group holding.

Family Wealth Dynamics

In contrast to her own ranking, Nazarbayeva's sister, Dinara Kulibayeva, has climbed to third place in the 2026 list. Her wealth is estimated at $5.4 billion, an increase from $5.3 billion last year when she held the fourth position.

Dinara Kulibayeva, alongside her husband Timur Kulibayev, exercises control over 61.99% of Halyk Bank shares through their "Almex" holding company.
