Almaty residents can continue to enjoy access to fresh and affordable food during the upcoming holidays, as traditional food fairs will maintain their operating schedule. These events are crucial for ensuring the city's food supply, strengthening food security, and stabilizing prices for socially significant products.

Wide Variety of Products Available

The fairs feature a diverse range of goods from producers in Almaty city, Almaty region, and East Kazakhstan region. With over 305 participants, including farms and local manufacturers, shoppers can find more than 1,000 types of products. This includes meat, fresh vegetables and fruits, dairy products, eggs, sausages, honey, and other essential food items.

Significant Impact on Food Supply

Since the beginning of 2026, these markets have facilitated the sale of approximately 8,000 tons of produce, with a particular focus on socially important food items. This initiative plays a vital role in making essential goods accessible and affordable for the city's population.

Ongoing Modernization Efforts

The "SEC "Almaty" JSC is currently undertaking a phased modernization of the fairgrounds in the Bostandyk and Auezov districts. The project aims to enhance the infrastructure by introducing covered and open pavilions, improving parking facilities, upgrading sanitary zones, and creating more comfortable public spaces and bus stops.

Fair Schedule and Locations

The food fairs are open every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Specific locations for these markets are available, ensuring convenient access for residents across different parts of the city.

Following the completion of modernization, "SEC "Almaty" JSC will continue to manage the fairs and monitor the adherence to price regulations, ensuring the continued benefit to consumers.
