From February 23rd to the 27th, the capital is forecast to experience blizzards, strong winds, and temperatures as low as -36 degrees Celsius. The weather is expected to change dramatically, with the beginning of the week being particularly challenging.
First Half of the Week
Monday, February 23rd
Temperatures will range from -15 to -17 degrees Celsius during the night and day. Expect partly cloudy skies with intermittent snow and blizzards. Winds from the northwest will strengthen to 9-14 m/s, with gusts potentially reaching 15-20 m/s, intensifying the cold.
Tuesday, February 24th
The weather conditions are set to worsen significantly. Overnight temperatures will drop to -31 to -33 degrees Celsius. While no precipitation is expected, fog may form. Daytime temperatures will slightly moderate to -25 to -27 degrees Celsius.
Second Half of the Week
Wednesday, February 25th
This day is predicted to be the coldest of the week. Nighttime temperatures could reach -34 to -36 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs around -20 to -22 degrees Celsius. No precipitation is forecast, but the severe cold will persist.
Thursday, February 26th
Overnight temperatures are expected to be between -27 and -29 degrees Celsius, with daytime temperatures recovering to -15 to -17 degrees Celsius. No snowfall is anticipated, but winds will pick up to 9-14 m/s.
Friday, February 27th
The intense cold is expected to gradually subside. Nighttime temperatures will be around -22 to -24 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures will reach -11 to -13 degrees Celsius. While there will be no precipitation, the cold weather will continue.
