Videos circulating on social media have sparked public discussion after showing anti-aircraft missile systems moving through the streets of Astana, Kazakhstan's capital. The Ministry of Defense has since provided an official explanation for the unusual sight.

Planned Combat Readiness Drills

According to the Ministry of Defense, the movement of military equipment within the city was part of scheduled combat readiness training exercises. Currently, air defense units are actively engaged in these drills.

Enhancing Operational Skills

Ministry representatives stated that these exercises are designed to improve the skills of military personnel in operating and rapidly deploying military hardware, as well as executing combat missions. Such training sessions are conducted regularly in accordance with the approved training plans of the Armed Forces.

Call for Reliance on Official Sources

The Ministry of Defense urged media representatives and social media users to refrain from spreading unverified information and to rely solely on official sources for accurate reporting.
