The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced a "preemptive strike" against Iran, according to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who confirmed the action on Saturday, April 28th. This development has led to a declaration of a special and urgent state of emergency across all of Israel.

Minister Katz stated that the objective of the strike is to neutralize threats posed to the Jewish state. The announcement comes amidst heightened regional tensions.

Explosions Rock Tehran

Iranian news agencies report that Israeli missiles impacted areas in Tehran, specifically along Daneshgah Boulevard and in the Jomhouri district. Social media has been circulating videos showing plumes of smoke rising from the affected sites. At least five explosions have been reported in the Iranian capital.

Israel on High Alert

Since Saturday morning, educational activities, gatherings, and office work have been prohibited throughout Israel. Citizens have been advised to stay near bomb shelters. Military officials have also recommended that drivers avoid unnecessary travel.

The IDF emphasized that these precautionary measures are intended to prepare the population for the possibility of missile attacks on Israeli territory.
