A truck driver in Astana has been penalized for attempting to obscure his vehicle's license plate with a piece of cloth. The incident, which occurred on March 27th, saw the driver apprehended after traffic cameras captured the violation.

License Plate Concealment Caught on Camera

The Shacman-brand truck was recorded by surveillance cameras traveling on the southern bypass road, heading from the village of Kyzylsuat towards Sh. Murtaza Street. The footage clearly showed the driver using a cloth to cover the state license plates, an act intended to evade identification.

Driver Faces Legal Consequences

Following his apprehension, the driver was brought before the court. He was sentenced to two days of administrative arrest and had his driver's license suspended for one year. The truck itself was impounded and placed in a municipal parking facility.
