Starting March 17, the Nurly Zhol to Semey train route has been upgraded with new, modern carriages, replacing the older models that had been in service since 1993. This significant enhancement promises a more comfortable and accessible travel experience for passengers.

Modern Comforts on Board

The updated train consists of nine carriages: three coupe carriages, five platzkart (open sleeping car) carriages, and one staff carriage. Together, they are designed to transport over 350 passengers per direction. Each coupe compartment is equipped with comfortable sleeping berths, individual LED reading lights, USB ports, and power outlets. Special compartments and spaces for wheelchairs have been incorporated to accommodate passengers with limited mobility. A call button for the attendant is also available for convenience.

Designed for All Travelers

The new 'RWS Wagon' model carriages are engineered to provide comfort and safety for all passenger categories, including those with disabilities, families with children, the elderly, and international tourists. The interior finishes are made from eco-friendly, hypoallergenic materials, and an air purification system is in place to reduce the risk of infection. The staff carriage features a spacious compartment and a dedicated sanitary unit for passengers with disabilities.

Fleet Expansion

In the last two years, 'Passenger Transportation' JSC has acquired 219 'RWS Wagon' carriages. These modern trains have already been deployed on various routes across Kazakhstan, including Aktobe-Atyrau, Pavlodar-Turkistan, Pavlodar-Almaty, Kyzylorda-Semey, Almaty-Saratov, Almaty-Oskemen, Astana-Kokshetau, Astana-Burabay resort, and Karaganda-Astana.
