Soldier's Jaw Broken in Army; Claims Injustice After Suicidal Thoughts
A disturbing account from a conscript soldier, Esbol Kapar, serving in a military unit in Otar, has surfaced online, detailing a broken jaw and profound psychological distress. His letters to his family, shared on social media, have ignited a heated public discussion about the treatment of young men serving their country.
Telejournalist Gulmira Abikay commented on the situation, emphasizing that those who come to defend the homeland should not face such hardships. According to Abikay, the soldier specifically named individuals involved in the incident at the Gvardeysk garrison.
Conflicting Accounts Emerge
However, the Ministry of Defense has stated that a sergeant was not involved and described the incident as a fight between two soldiers. Reports also suggest that the second soldier involved admitted guilt. While there are witnesses to the event, the situation is complicated by the fact that the surveillance cameras in the unit were reportedly non-operational on the day of the incident.
Soldier's Cry for Help
Videos circulating online show the letters written by the soldier to his relatives. In them, Esbol Kapar openly describes experiencing severe psychological turmoil. "I wanted to hang myself. I couldn't find a rope at home. My soul was in great pain. I tried tying plastic bags, but they broke," the soldier wrote, revealing the depth of his despair.
The case is currently under widespread discussion within society, and official bodies have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
