Two bodies found in Atyrau search for missing family as police identify suspects

Two members of a missing family were found dead in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau Region on January 6, 2026, prompting a homicide investigation and a district-wide search for the two remaining relatives. Police say suspects have been identified and efforts to detain them are underway.
