Astana residents and commuters should be aware of upcoming traffic disruptions as a significant section of Kerey and Zhanibek Khandar Street will be closed for road repairs. The closure is scheduled to begin on May 21 and last until May 25, affecting the stretch between A. Bokeykhan and Sh. Murtaza streets.

Road Resurfacing Underway

The temporary closure is necessary to carry out medium repairs on the road surface. City officials are urging drivers and pedestrians to plan their routes in advance and to be mindful of potential changes to traffic organization during this period.

Additional Roadwork in the City

This is not the only area experiencing roadwork. Previously, it was announced that a section of Kenesary Street, from Sh. Ualikhanov Street to M. Abdykarimov Street, would have partial traffic restrictions on May 21-22 due to the laying of the upper layer of the road surface.

Ensuring Safety and Minimizing Disruption

To ensure safety and minimize inconvenience, temporary road signs and traffic controllers will be deployed in the affected areas. The city administration has requested understanding from residents and visitors regarding these necessary changes and advises them to factor in potential delays when traveling.
