Unexpected Absence

The proceedings were scheduled for the defendants to deliver their final remarks today. However, Elmira Tolegenova was absent from the courtroom. Her defense lawyer, Gauhar Aitzhanova, stated that her client was unable to attend due to health reasons.

Judge's Ultimatum

Presiding Judge Adilbek Baimakhanov noted that no medical documentation was presented to confirm Tolegenova's absence during the court session. The judge granted the defendant a two-hour window to submit the necessary documents or connect online. Failure to comply would result in her absence being deemed unjustified, potentially leading to obstruction of the criminal case review and subsequent legal measures.

Following this directive, the judge announced a two-hour recess.
