A criminal case has been initiated in the Atyrau region following the discovery of a deceased 70-year-old woman. Authorities have detained her common-law partner as a suspect in connection with her death.

Discovery in Outbuilding

The body of Kapitalina Simankova, 70, was found in an outbuilding at her home in the village of Dossor. Relatives of the deceased indicated they were unsure of the exact time of her passing, a detail that law enforcement is currently investigating.

Simankova had reportedly been missing since January 13th. She resided with her common-law husband, Vladimir Malov.

Police Investigation Launched

On February 19th, the Makat District Police received a report concerning the disappearance of a 73-year-old woman. During a search of the pensioner's home and surrounding property, officers discovered the body of a woman inside a garage.

As a result of operational search activities, the deceased's common-law partner was apprehended and taken to a temporary detention facility. Preliminary information suggests the woman sustained bodily injuries during a domestic dispute.

A criminal investigation has been launched, and efforts are underway to determine all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
