Five talented young Kazakh boxers have secured their spots in the finals of the international "Bolashak Cup" tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand. These aspiring athletes will compete for gold medals tomorrow, March 15th.

Road to the Finals

The finalists representing Kazakhstan are Zhalgas Utebekov (competing in the -90 kg category), Doszhan Zhumakhan (-60 kg), Beibarys Ashirbay (-70 kg), Kamila Ospanova (-70 kg), and Aidana Obaidullakyzy (-80 kg).

Impressive Semi-Final Performances

In the semi-final bouts, Zhalgas Utebekov secured a decisive 5-0 victory against Anthony Pati of Samoa in the -90 kg division. Doszhan Zhumakhan triumphed over David Harutyunyan of France with a 4-1 score in the -60 kg category.

Beibarys Ashirbay dominated his opponent Marouane Jaafri from Morocco, winning 5-0 in the -70 kg class. In the women's -70 kg category, Kamila Ospanova defeated Marley McNeely from the USA. Aidana Obaidullakyzy delivered a powerful performance in the -80 kg division, forcing three knockdowns against Thi Mai Anh Dam of Vietnam in the first round to secure an early victory.

A total of 19 Kazakh boxers participated in this World Boxing-organized tournament.
