Kazakh Actor Detained in Russia for Shooting 11-Year-Old Boy
A shocking incident has occurred in St. Petersburg, Russia, where a Kazakh citizen, identified as an actor with the Mariinsky Theatre, has been detained and is under investigation for shooting an 11-year-old boy. The child sustained injuries and required hospitalization.
The Incident Unfolds
The event took place near a residential building on Dekabristov Street. According to reports, the young victim was playing the saxophone near the building's window. The noise apparently agitated a 38-year-old resident, who reacted with extreme aggression.
A Violent Reaction
Unable to tolerate the sound, the man retrieved a pneumatic pistol and fired from his window. The projectile struck the boy in the face, lodging in his chin. The severity of the injury led to the child being rushed to the hospital.
Victim's Condition and Suspect Identified
The injured minor is currently in moderate condition at the hospital. The detained individual has been identified as Aytzhan Smagulov, a native of Kazakhstan. Records indicate he had been a member of the Mariinsky Theatre's auxiliary troupe since April 2021.
Official Statements and Charges
Irina Volk, an official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, confirmed that police received a report about an unknown person shooting a child. The ministry stated that the suspect claimed he fired the shot to "punish" the child because he disliked his playing.
A criminal case has been initiated against Smagulov under the article "Hooliganism using a weapon" of the Criminal Code.
