Kazakh Language Remarks by MP Spark Public Outrage

A resurfaced social media post from Member of Parliament Samat Nurtaza, dating back to 2019-2020, has sparked significant public backlash. In the post, Nurtaza referred to the Kazakh language as the "language of the poor, wheelbarrow pushers, and waiters," accompanied by an angry phrase.

The controversial remarks have ignited a firestorm online, with many social media users expressing outrage and disrespect towards their native language. The public's strong reaction has led to formal complaints being filed with the Prosecutor General's Office.

MP Responds to Controversy

In an interview with the nege.kz portal, Nurtaza explained that the post was written during a period of intense emotion and sarcasm between 2019 and 2020. He stated that the comments stemmed from frustration and anger, and have since been distorted for various purposes.

"This screenshot comes out every year," Nurtaza commented on the recurring nature of the post's reappearance.

Future Actions

Currently, Samat Nurtaza is consulting with a lawyer and plans to take measures against those he believes are slandering him. He also announced that he will be releasing an official statement on his social media page.
