Shymkent Student Lured by Fake Job Ad Faces Sexual Assault

An 18-year-old student in Shymkent has reported a harrowing ordeal after falling victim to a deceptive online job advertisement, leading to a sexual assault. The young woman's family is now urging authorities to expedite the investigation and hold all responsible parties accountable.

Deception and Exploitation

According to the victim, she was enticed by an online advertisement promising a high salary for a job. Upon arriving at the specified location, she discovered it was a front for a "body massage" service center. In an anonymous interview, she recounted that the incident occurred last summer and she was unable to leave the premises of her own volition.

She was reportedly forced inside and held against her will. Guards were stationed at the entrance, while those inside assured her she would not be harmed and only needed to perform massages. However, the reality of the situation was far more sinister than she was led to believe.

Threats and Lack of Action

The victim's relatives have expressed outrage that the building continues to operate as a bathhouse. They claim that relevant authorities have not taken decisive action, and they themselves have received multiple threats. They reported being told, "If you don't stop the case, we will kill you."

Police Investigation Underway

The Shymkent City Police Department confirmed that a pre-trial investigation has been launched under Article 120, Part 1 of the Criminal Code ("Rape"). A forensic psychological and forensic examination has been ordered, and the victim's mobile phone is also under investigation. A final decision in the criminal case will be made after the examination results are obtained.

The victim's family is not only seeking justice for the physical assault but also demanding that the organizers who lured the student into this situation be brought to justice. They are requesting a swift resolution and the case to proceed to trial.
