UFC Legends Praise Kazakhstan Fans: "Unmatched in the World"
Former UFC champions Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman have lauded the unparalleled support shown by mixed martial arts fans in Kazakhstan, describing them as the most passionate and dedicated in the world.
Unrivaled Fanaticism
During a discussion on his YouTube channel, Henry Cejudo highlighted the extraordinary enthusiasm of Kazakhstani fans. "I've been everywhere, but I've never seen fans like those in Kazakhstan. They are incomparable. They aren't just fans; they are true fanatics. I don't think there are any better fans in the world," Cejudo stated emphatically.
Shavkat Rakhmonov's Influence
Kamaru Usman echoed Cejudo's sentiments, recalling his own experiences, particularly concerning potential fights with Kazakhstani fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov. Usman shared how the sheer volume of Kazakhstani flags and comments on his social media posts became overwhelming when a fight against Rakhmonov was being discussed. "After every post, I would receive about 4,000 to 5,000 comments, all with Kazakhstani flags," Usman recalled.
This isn't the first time Cejudo has spoken highly of Rakhmonov and Kazakhstan. During a previous visit to the country, he predicted in an interview that Rakhmonov would soon become a UFC champion.
Notably, a potential bout between Shavkat Rakhmonov and Kamaru Usman was discussed for 2024. However, Rakhmonov eventually faced and defeated Ian Machado Garry.
