Kazakhstan Football Team Loses Friendly Match to Hungary 3-1
The Kazakhstan national football team has concluded its friendly matches with a 3-1 defeat against Hungary. This match served as the team's final outing before the start of the Nations League in the autumn.
Match Highlights
Kazakhstan initially took the lead in the 9th minute when Maxim Samorodov assisted Sergey Malyi for a goal from a corner kick. The first half ended with Kazakhstan ahead 1-0.
However, Hungary staged a comeback in the second half. Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai equalized in the 52nd minute. The match took a turn in the 63rd minute when Samorodov received his second yellow card, leaving Kazakhstan to play with ten men.
Just four minutes later, Andras Schafer scored to put Hungary in the lead. The final goal of the match came in stoppage time, with Raimund Sallai scoring in the 90+5th minute to seal the 3-1 victory for Hungary.
Future Preparations
Both Hungary and Kazakhstan have already been eliminated from contention for the 2026 World Cup, making this friendly a final tune-up. Earlier in their summer training camp, Kazakhstan drew 1-1 with Armenia in their first friendly match.
