Starting July 1, Kazakhstan citizens heading to Russia for employment or educational purposes will face new entry requirements. This change was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

New Digital Entry Process

Under the updated regulations, Kazakh nationals intending to work or study in Russia must utilize the 'ruID' mobile application. Foreign citizens are required to create a personal profile within the app and submit an electronic entry application according to the established procedure.

Application and QR Code

This application must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to crossing the state border. Once the application is processed, the app will generate a unique QR code confirming the right to enter. This QR code will remain valid for 90 days from the date of application, as stated by the ministry.

Advice for Travelers

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises all Kazakh citizens to familiarize themselves with these new requirements in advance and to consider these changes when planning their trips to Russia.
