Producer Bayan Alaguzova has revealed a heartfelt commitment to support Meruert Utekeshova, the acclaimed actress famed for her iconic portrayal of Kyz Zhibek in the classic Kazakh film.

Alaguzova shared that she has received the legendary embroidered robe, famously worn by Utekeshova in the film, as a gift. While currently in her possession, Alaguzova plans to eventually donate the significant piece of cultural heritage to a museum.

A Symbol of Kazakh Womanhood

Expressing deep admiration for Utekeshova, Alaguzova described her as an enduring symbol of Kazakh womanhood and a unique figure in Kazakh cinema. The producer also revealed plans to invite the veteran actress to the "Kazakh Aruy" (Kazakh Beauty) project next year.

In a remarkable gesture of support, Alaguzova pledged to provide Utekeshova with a monthly financial stipend of 1 million tenge for the rest of her life.

Call for Patronage of Arts

Alaguzova explained her motivation for making this initiative public, highlighting the unfortunate reality that many talented artists fade into obscurity over time. She urged patrons of the arts to actively support individuals who have contributed significantly to national culture.

Previously, Alaguzova had showcased the iconic robe on her Instagram, confirming it was gifted to her and had been worn by Meruert Utekeshova in her unforgettable role as Kyz Zhibek.
