A severe road accident on Al-Farabi Avenue in Almaty has resulted in the tragic deaths of three individuals. The incident occurred in the early hours of March 21st, sending shockwaves through the city.

Head-on Collision Claims Multiple Lives

According to the Almaty Police Department, the driver of a Zeekr vehicle was traveling westbound on Al-Farabi Avenue. At the intersection with Mendykulov Street, the driver veered into the oncoming eastbound lane. This resulted in a catastrophic head-on collision with a Mercedes-Benz.

Fatalities and Investigation Underway

Tragically, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz and two of its passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Zeekr vehicle sustained various injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the incident, with authorities working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
