Yana Legkodimova's Mother Denied Information on Convicts' Whereabouts

The mother of Yana Legkodimova, a victim of a tragic crime, has been denied information regarding the current location of the individuals convicted in her daughter's death. Despite inquiries to the Committee for Criminal Executive System, a definitive answer remains elusive.

In an official response, the committee confirmed that the convicts are serving their sentences according to a legally binding verdict. However, the specific correctional facility where they are held has been classified as confidential information.

Information Secrecy Explained

The committee clarified that details about a convict's transfer to another institution are only provided to close relatives or individuals designated by the convict themselves. Furthermore, information contained within personal case files is considered non-public.

Speculation Surrounds Convicts' Location

Currently, various speculations are circulating about the whereabouts of the convicted individuals. Earlier reports suggested they might have been sent to the "Black Eagle" facility, known for housing individuals serving life sentences. However, this information, along with other unofficial reports that emerged later, has not been officially confirmed.

A Mother's Plea for Closure

Galina Legkodimova emphasized that her inquiry was not driven by mere curiosity but by a need to ensure that those responsible for her daughter's death are serving their sentences in the appropriate institutions as mandated by law. She expressed a desire to start a new life in a different city and move forward, but the unresolved circumstances of the case continue to weigh on her.

She highlighted the importance of knowing that the convicts are serving life sentences and are held in conditions suitable for individuals who have committed such crimes.

Details of the Tragic Incident

The tragic incident occurred on October 18, 2024. Yana Legkodimova left her home after receiving a call from an acquaintance, reportedly without even taking her outerwear. She was last seen after getting into a vehicle and was not seen again. Her mother raised the alarm upon returning from a business trip.
