34-Year-Old Elected Village Mayor in Kazakhstan's Almaty Region
A new mayor has been elected in the Shengeldy rural district of Kонаев city, located in Kazakhstan's Almaty Region. Following the vote count, 34-year-old Jandos Maneev emerged victorious in the election.
Election Results Detailed
According to the Kонаев city administration, Jandos Maneev secured 2,523 votes. His opponent, Yertay Kurmanaliev, garnered 402 votes, while Kanat Azamatov received 380. Additionally, 188 voters cast ballots against all candidates.
A total of 5,371 voters were registered in the rural district. The election saw a turnout of 3,602 residents participating in the voting process.
Jandos Maneev's Background
Born in 1992, Jandos Maneev holds higher education degrees in "Finance" and "Law." He graduated from the New Economic University named after Ryskulov in 2015 and the Regional Social-Innovative University in 2018.
Maneev began his career in the private sector as a logistics specialist at "ALATRAK" LLP, later taking on management roles within the company. Over the years, he also served as a chief specialist in the internal security department of "AZHK" JSC and as the commercial director of AKS Service LLP.
Prior to his election as mayor, Maneev held positions as the director of "Konaev Housing" LLP and as the deputy akim (mayor) of the Shengeldy rural district.
