Astana is gearing up for the annual Astana Half Marathon, set to take place on June 7th. This year's event is particularly significant, marking a milestone with an expected participation of approximately 7,000 runners from over 30 countries.

To ensure the safety and smooth execution of the marathon, temporary restrictions will be placed on vehicle movement along several key city streets. Organizers are urging residents and visitors to be aware of these changes and plan their travel accordingly.

Road Closures and Restrictions

Limited access will be in effect on a section of Independence Avenue, between Z. Nazhmedinov Street and A. Baitursynuly Street, starting from 6:00 AM on June 6th until 6:00 PM on June 7th.

On the day of the race, June 7th, several routes will be completely closed to traffic. These restrictions will be lifted progressively as participants pass through, with all traffic expected to be fully restored by 9:00 AM.

Residents are advised to plan their routes in advance to avoid inconvenience. The Astana Half Marathon is a major event for the city, bringing together athletes from around the globe.
