Former Detox Center in Rudny Sold After Third Auction Attempt
The former detoxification center in Rudny has finally been sold after three attempts, marking a new chapter for the long-vacant building. Initially listed at 182.8 million tenge, the property's price was reduced to 100.5 million tenge after two unsuccessful auctions.
New Ownership and Restoration Obligations
The new owner is obligated to restore the building by December 31, 2026. While there are currently no restrictions on the building's future use, allowing the new owner to establish various facilities, the property cannot be resold or transferred to trust management before the deadline.
The three-story building, constructed in 1963, along with its adjacent garage, requires significant renovation. Until the autumn of 2025, it housed the Rudny City Temporary Adaptation and Detoxification Center.
Why a Polyclinic Wasn't Feasible
According to city mayor Viktor Ionenko, the building was purchased by TOO «Kazogneupor 2015». The company is reportedly considering establishing its offices, potentially a small hotel, and a cafe on the premises. Mayor Ionenko explained that the building was deemed unsuitable for a polyclinic due to the required space, noting that a medical facility of this nature typically needs at least 5,000 square meters. The regional health department had previously declined an offer to use the building for educational purposes.
New Polyclinic Construction Planned
In related news, Mayor Viktor Ionenko announced plans for a new polyclinic in Rudny. The construction is expected to be financed by the ERG company, which previously allocated 8 billion tenge for the construction of a 1,200-seat school in the city. The new polyclinic, slated for the 11th microdistrict, is estimated to cost 2.4 billion tenge. Construction is anticipated to begin this year, with ERG providing funding and JSC Rudsokholovstroy undertaking the building work.
