Kazakhstan Ministry Debunks 432,500 Tenge Payout Rumors

A wave of misinformation is circulating across social media and messaging apps in Kazakhstan, claiming a one-time payment of 432,500 tenge will be issued in 2026. The false reports suggest these funds are intended for families with incomes below 232,000 tenge or individuals with specific medical conditions.

However, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has officially refuted these claims, stating clearly that no such social payment is provided for under current legislation.

Beware of Scams

The Ministry has issued a stern warning that such messages are often a tactic used by fraudsters. The primary goal of these scams is to gain unauthorized access to citizens' personal data. Official communications regarding government support measures are exclusively sent via SMS from the number 1414 or published on the official websites of state bodies.

Spreading deliberately false information is a punishable offense. This is not the first time the Ministry has had to address fabricated news; previously, they debunked a fake announcement about automatic social assistance being granted to all Kazakhstani citizens.
