Prominent Kazakh PR specialist and blogger Alisher Elikbaev has announced his intention to sue the creator of a video that contains critical remarks about him and his spouse. The situation has escalated in the Kazakh online space, drawing significant attention.

The Controversial Video

The dispute came to light after Elikbaev published a response on his Instagram page. The core of the issue is a previously recorded video where a woman harshly criticizes Elikbaev's appearance and questions his professional competence. The video's author labels the blogger as "unpleasant, unprincipled," and suggests he has lost the trust of advertisers and his audience.

The criticism extended to Elikbaev's spouse, with the video creator describing her as a "timid, insecure, silent grey mouse" next to him. The author also expressed surprise at Elikbaev's long-standing professional relationship with Kazakh businessman Nurlan Smagulov, stating that Elikbaev brings "no value as a public relations specialist."

Elikbaev's Response

Initially, Alisher Elikbaev reportedly ignored links to the video. However, after viewing it recently, his perspective changed. He shared the controversial video on his platform, adding an emotional commentary.

"To say I was surprised would be an understatement. It's clear that this person has lost touch with reality, attacking someone as radiant as myself," Elikbaev expressed his indignation.

The blogger identified the video's author as Sholpan Yesmagambetova. Elikbaev indicated that legal proceedings are imminent and urged the opposing party to prepare to answer for her words.

"I hope she has competent lawyers and will be ready to answer for her statements," the PR specialist concluded.

This development highlights the growing scrutiny and potential legal ramifications of online commentary in Kazakhstan.
