A heartbreaking tragedy has struck the Keless district of the Turkistan Region, where two young brothers lost their lives after falling into a canal. The incident occurred while their mother was away at work, highlighting the devastating consequences of such accidents.

Tragic Discovery in Oshakty Canal

The two boys, identified as 8-year-old Yusufakmet and 13-year-old Dias, were playing near the Oshakty canal when they tragically fell into the water. A day-long search operation was launched, and sadly, the bodies of both children were eventually recovered. One child was found near the village, while the other was discovered approximately one kilometer downstream.

A Mother's Devastating Loss

The children's mother, Aygul Tamasheva, who is a mother of seven, had reportedly left for work at 5 AM on the day of the incident. With her husband, who has a disability, also out working to provide for the family, the eldest daughter was left in charge of her younger siblings. However, according to the mother, the tragedy unfolded when the eldest daughter briefly stepped out to fetch medicine for her mother, leaving the younger children unsupervised. It was during this short window that the two younger boys ran towards the canal.

Aygul Tamasheva is reportedly still in shock and struggling to comprehend the devastating loss of her two sons. Her early departure for work, undertaken to support her family, has now resulted in an unimaginable grief.

This incident serves as a somber reminder of the dangers that can be present even in familiar surroundings and the profound impact of parental absence, even for short periods.
